Need an Arizona attorney? Get a free consultation today|(480) 725-2257

I started the Arizona Estate & Family Law Resource Center because finding a good attorney is hard, and when you actually need one, you’re usually in one of the worst stretches of your life. A parent has died. A child has been diagnosed with a disability that will need lifelong planning. A marriage is ending. An aging parent needs help and the family doesn’t agree on what to do. Whatever brought you here — I’m sorry you’re dealing with it, and I want this site to actually help.

In twenty years of working around attorneys in various capacities, I’ve learned that the difference between a good lawyer and a box-checking one is enormous. A good estate attorney spots the special-needs trust issue that protects a disabled grandchild’s benefits before you even know to ask. A box-checker uses a template and creates a problem that costs the family years to unwind. A good family law attorney tells you when settling is smarter than fighting. A box-checker bills hours either way.

The hard part is you usually can’t tell which kind you’ve got until it’s too late. And when you’re already stressed out, grieving, scared about money, or worried about a child — the energy required to vet attorneys carefully is energy you don’t have.

This site exists to give you good information before that consultation. Not legal advice — I’m not an attorney, and nothing on this site creates an attorney-client relationship. But solid, plainly-written explanations of how Arizona estate planning, special needs trusts, probate, guardianship, and family law actually work in Maricopa County, so you walk into your first meeting with an attorney already understanding the landscape. Knowing the right questions to ask is most of the work.

Who operates this site

The Arizona Estate & Family Law Resource Center is the trade name used by Wilder West Assets, LLC, an Arizona-based business that operates legal information and referral websites. We’re based in Gilbert, Arizona, and the site is run from here.

This site is not affiliated with, endorsed by, or connected to Kile & Kupiszewski Law Firm, LLC, Kile Law Group PC, or any of their former attorneys or staff. The domain name was acquired separately and is used for identification purposes only.

How this site makes money

I’m honest about this because you deserve to know. When you fill out the case evaluation form on this site, your information goes to a vetted network of Arizona attorneys who handle the kind of case you’re describing. If one of those attorneys takes you on as a client, I receive a referral fee from them. You don’t pay extra — the attorney’s fees to you are the same as if you’d found them yourself.

Fewer, better connections

That model only works long-term if I send attorneys clients they can genuinely help, and if I send people to attorneys who genuinely help them. Bad referrals are bad for everyone involved. So I’d rather have fewer, better connections than more, worse ones.

I’d rather connect a smaller number of families with attorneys who can really help them than route a large volume of leads to attorneys who just want billable hours. The model only works if the referrals are good ones — for the family, and for the attorney.

What I am and am not

I am not an attorney. I do not provide legal advice. I do not draft documents, review your specific case, or tell you what to do. The content on this site is general educational information about Arizona law and how Maricopa County courts handle these matters — not a substitute for talking to a real attorney about your real situation.

I’m just a regular guy who has spent two decades around the legal and professional services world. I know what a thorough estate plan looks like compared to a shallow one, and I’ve watched too many people make decisions they later regretted because they didn’t have good information at the start. This site is my attempt to help fix that, at least in Arizona.

If you’re in the middle of an estate, family, special needs, or elder law situation in Arizona and want to talk to a vetted attorney about it, you can start a free case evaluation here. If you just want to read and learn first, that’s what the rest of the site is for. Either way, I hope it helps.

Verifying any attorney

Whatever attorney you ultimately speak with — through this site, through a friend, or through your own search — you should verify their credentials yourself. The State Bar of Arizona maintains a free public attorney search at azbar.org where you can confirm a lawyer’s license status, bar admission date, and any public discipline history. I encourage you to use it for anyone you’re considering working with.
